​​​The culottes/wide-leg trousers workshop - Saturday 23rd October 10am-4pm  
​£60/person 










In this 6 hour workshop you will cut out and make these lovely culottes, which can be easily lengthened to make full-length wide-leg trousers. With hidden pocket openings, and fastening with a button (or hook & bar) they are deceptively easy to make. The darts at the back and pleats at the front make any fitting adjustments nice and simple. 

Make them in any medium-weight fabric such as denim, corduroy, flannel, gabardine or even faux leather.

Suitable for beginners (with basic experience of using a sewing machine) to intermediate sewers.

In this workshop you will learn how to place your pattern pieces, cut out, sew darts and pleats, finish seams and make a waistband. The workshop will cover all techniques needed to make the culottes.

You will need to bring:
• a sewing machine 
• your fabric (click here for sizes and fabric requirements) and matching thread 
• basic sewing kit - pins, scissors etc. 


an overlocker would also be useful but not necessary to finish the culottes
